Training in Central and Western
Central and Western packs offices, hillside homes and older streets into a small area, so most people here train close to work or home. Hong Kong Park and the Zoological and Botanical Gardens offer shaded paths for warm ups and walking intervals, and the Central Harbourfront promenade gives you a flat, open route west toward Sheung Wan.
If you want hills, you are spoiled for choice. The streets and stairs around the Mid-Levels and Lung Fu Shan Country Park make for demanding uphill work, and the Kennedy Town waterfront is a calmer option for easy runs at the end of the day.
Getting around is simple, with Central, Sheung Wan, Sai Ying Pun and Kennedy Town MTR stations, trams along Des Voeux Road and the Mid-Levels Escalator. Many trainers here work from small private studios or come to your building gym, and early morning and lunchtime sessions are popular. When you share your goal, we look for professionals who work in the district and have time that fits your working day.
